“Where are the revolutionary changes for the science; where are the results?”
Tigran Shahverdyan, a Russian Armenian, head of the Selenokhod moon space machine asks about the expected results. Tigran Shahverdyan studied at the physics and mathematics special school after Artashes Shahinyan. He was inspired by his grandfather, who taught him to physics, mathematics and space science from early childhood.
In parallel with school the scientists also attended the space science club, where he got even more interested in physics and space science. He participated in many international competitions and won one silver and two bronze medals. He says he knows one thing for sure that the space science club has not let the routine and life in Armenia kill among many things his love to space science, and even made his involvement in science stronger. After school his studied at the institute of physics and technology of Moscow. “At that time I wanted to be specialized in construction of space machines and equipments, but there were difficulties connected with confidentiality in that sector, even though later I learnt that it would not be an obstacle for involvement in such sector,” said T. Shahverdyan.
