4 YEARS ? 4 years ago this week I decided not to color my roots. So technically my last dye was 4 years in November but I hadn’t made the decision that would be my last dye so I celebrate my 4 years from when I actively decided to be done. I had just found out I was pregnant with baby number 4 and I didn’t want to deal with the mess of coloring my own hair or have to worry about going to someone to color it anymore. I have never been happier and more content with my hair than I am now. There has been many requests to see pics of my hair from all sides so I asked my hubby to take a few shots for me. I often get asked three questions, if I use hot rollers/curling iron to achieve my uniform curls, if my color is natural & how old I am. That always cracks me up since I have many different Curl types varying from 2b-3b curls that never seem to behave. So my answer is always the same. “I don’t own any rollers, or curling irons.” “Yes, this is my natural curl & color” “I am 47, with two adult children” ? The day this pic was taken I was asked if I dyed my hair this color since they thought I was in my late 20’s. They were floored when I told them my age & that I had adult children and then we chatted for awhile about the beauty of grey hair. ? It always surprises me since I was offered the senior discount one time at a local store when I was transitioning. ? ?? "Everyday I feel so grateful for my gray hair. It makes me unique, for my age (34), and it's such low maintenance! My first gray hair showed up when I was 17 but it really didn't come in thick until about 30 and that's when I stopped dying my roots. My original color is very very dark brown so when I knew I was going to let the gray take over I colored the majority of my hair white blonde. As it started to grow out the transition was much more seamless. The top half of my hair is always natural and I love how intentional it looks" @liz_kamarul #grombre #gogrombre
